We’ve asked Bruce some questions so you can get to know him better…
What’s your favourite gem, and why? Pearls. Mainly because my whole professional career has been heavily involved in the pearl industry. It started when I was growing up in Papua New Guinea and my father was involved in pearl farming.
Which is your all-time favourite piece of Musson jewellery and why? I love the ‘Catherine’ ring with the beautiful Oval shape white diamond flanked by Pear shaped Argyle Pink Diamonds. It is such an elegant design.
What do you love about the jewellery business in general? It is the constant interaction with people from all walks of life and trying to help their dreams come true. When I get that “oh wow” reaction from my client it definitely makes my day.
What do you think customers love about Musson? Without a doubt it is the individuality of the jewellery designs and the confidence that they are getting something different, something unique and something made just for them.
What personal satisfaction do you take from your professional life at Musson? I enjoy working with my colleagues and the relationships I have formed with such a diverse group. I am enjoying being a part of one of Australia’s premier luxury jewellers.
What personal satisfaction do you take from your professional life at Musson? Pursuing a field of interest, learning from a team with a wealth of knowledge within the industry, and helping clients in celebrating key moments of their life.
What do you see as being Musson’s point of difference? I always point out very early with my clients that Musson is unique because it is a manufacturing jeweller. If they purchase a piece of jewellery from us the designs are innovative, modern and we are able to work with the clients’ design ideas as well. It is providing that bespoke service which other jewellers cannot.
Describe the customer experience at Musson? It should be fun, enjoyable, informative and relaxed. If a customer feels they are being given honest and relevant information, their questions are being answered truthfully and they are being treated with respect then they will be more inclined to place their trust in Musson for what is usually a significant purchase or moment in their lives.
How would you like to see the brand grow in the future? I would love to see Musson continue to grow as one of the premiere luxury jewellers in Australia offering a unique jewellery experience with exceptional gems and bespoke jewellery designs. I always like to highlight that this is a family owned company with a strong sense of legacy.
